FreeNAS 11.1の感想

最初に

X710-DA2とはIntelの10GbEカードのことで
現時点での最新ファームウェア 6.01を使用しています

ドライバのバージョン確認

FreeNAS11の時は1.6.6でしたが
FreeNAS11.1でドライバ更新が入ったようなので
アップデート後はどうなったか早速確認していきます

1.6.6から1.7.12へ更新されているのが確認できます

ファームウェアからするとこれでも古いようで
途中にドライバ更新しろとメッセージが表示されてますが
このままでも今のところ問題なく動作しているのでとりあえずそのまま様子見してます

FreeNAS 11.1の感想

11.1も当初の予定より遅れましたが年内リリースはぎりぎり間に合いました
現時点での予定では次の11.1-U1は2018/1/21、11.2が2018/2/11

今回は不具合修正が大半になりますがsambaの脆弱性対応もあります

検証機はKabyLake世代のCPUを使っていますが
KabyLake対応もまだ完全ではないものの主要部分では問題ないレベルなので
気にする必要はもうないかと思います

新UIに関しては相変わらずの出来なので従来のUIがメインになります
